Autumn Golf Weekend - Château de Cheverny

The weekend followed the usual format with the Kiwi Cup and the Dean (scratch) Trophy being played on the Saturday. Our Champion for the weekend was undoubtedly SUe Hall, who won BOTH the Kiwi Cup and the Dean Trophy! (Though Andrew came close behind in the race to his own Trophy, and actually equlled Sue's score in the Kiwi Cup but was beaten in the count-back. (Though both were beaten in the Nett by guest Sharon Moore.)

On Sunday we entered the local club's preview of the Ryder Cup (the players being randomly allocated to play for the Old Countries (Europe) or for the UpStarts of America. Though Golfbag doesn't know the result (a) not having been there, and (b) his correspondent didn't wait the dénoument, it is sincerely to be hope that the Old Countries did not suffer the same fatte as the real team.

Much fun was had by all. Read on for the details of the Kiwi Cup and Dean Trophy scores and for a picture of some of the Sunday Ryder Cup team representatives...
